Our Team at AKO
The AKO – Aktionskreis-Ostafrika e.V. is legally represented by a team of three board members:
Dr. Achim Miertsch
Board Member
For 20 years, my wife Ingrid and I have been working with AKO and have achieved a lot in Kibosho and the surrounding area. We have ensured that the eye clinic is always up-to-date, both technically and in terms of equipment.
I aim to maintain personal contact with active and interested members.
Andreas Neumaier
Board Member
Shortly after completing an apprenticeship as an interior decorator, I started my own business over 30 years ago as a transport entrepreneur. This led to the development of a logistics group with various companies focusing on different specialties.
I have been an AKO member for 10 years and look forward to this new challenge as part of the board.
Dieter Jaenicke
Board Member
Professionally, I have spent my life working in the international cultural sector, traveling to nearly 100 countries, mostly on professional missions, and initiating and leading various development and exchange programs in and with several African countries.
I am with AKO because I appreciate the opportunity not only to donate but also to actively and meaningfully contribute my knowledge and experience to the work in Tanzania.
